How do I tie my hair without damaging it?

Back

We suggest always using a Hairstong scrunchie over a regular hair elastic. When you tie your hair with regular hair elastics, you pull more of your hair out than with scrunchies, give yourself headaches, cause damage to your hair, and create creases and kinks when you take your hair down.

To prevent damage to your hair, find the Hairstrong scrunchie size that doesn’t fit too tightly. Use our sizing chart and test the scrunchie out. When you put your hair up, make sure that it doesn’t give you a headache. The trick to not damaging your hair is to find the perfect hair scrunchie size that doesn’t pull on your hair too much. Then adjust accordingly, so it’s not too tight or too loose.

Pro tip: never put up wet hair! Hair is weaker when it’s wet and more prone to breakage.
